Sling Bag

I ordered a custom small sling requesting the green dyneema with other bright colors. Luke delivered with NEON PINK on top, green bottom and bright blue interior. I used it at a concert yesterday and it’s the perfect size for the essentials (phone, keys, wallet, lip balm, sunglasses). Strap length is discussed in the item description, but I didn’t really think about it so figured it’s worth mentioning for others with a smaller waist wanting the option to wear the bag there. Include your waist size with the order. The strap on mine is still loose at the smallest size just doubling the strap. The extra strap is manageable by folding and securing with the included clip, but customizing the total strap length to 2X the smallest length needed would provide a cleaner look.

It’s my fourth bag from Truce. I love the quality of the materials and the craftsmanship. It’s my first time ordering something more custom… I don’t understand why the stitching on the front and top of the bag is brown. I mean is a white sling with black hardware why is that stitch brown?

As a dad, this pairs well with dad hats and the M is a perfect size for collecting all the stuff kids hand you. To approximate the size, it holds 4 12oz can snugly and you could probably put an ice pack in the back pocket. I haven't tried it yet but this would be the perfect thing to keep your passport and general touristic stuff in without having to go full-backpack. The loooooong strap really gives you options in terms of carry style which is nice. I expect to enjoy this bag for years to come. I got 2 bags: A Small in Halley-Stevenson and a Medium in black Ecopak600. Both are well made and feel great. I have only used the Small one regularly since it is for an upcoming concert with strict size limits. The manufacturing and materials for both are great. The small is the perfect size for essentials and will be part of my travel kit. The Medium will definitely be my daily driver once I get used to wearing a sling-style bag. It matches my other gear perfectly and it has a good volume for the stuff I like to carry around town. I am beginning to have a small family of Truce bags and glad to add another two to the mix. Luke is always great to work and I highly recommend these bags to anyone in the market.

My wife and I go to a lot of concerts, and some of the local venues have implemented strict bag policies, limiting the size and number of pockets that a bag can have. The legendary Red Rocks venue in particular now only allows "single pocket" bags no larger than 13" x 15" x 8", and I did not have any bags that met that criteria. I reached out to Truce Designs via their web page to see if they could create a sling bag without any pockets, and Luke Mathers promptly responded that they could. I placed my order and received my sling bag exactly one week later. It is very well built, does not have any additional pockets per my request, and I was able to get it with a polymer cobra buckle. I am very happy with my custom order, and I may order a larger version down the road.

I got the small sling bag, it is the perfect size for the essentials, and if I need to carry more I can either wear it with my hands free, or I can drop it into a larger bag, and still find the basics without an annoying rummage. The construction is top quality, and I know it will be part of my basic wardrobe for a long time to come. I also love supporting a small business- and a business with environmental ethics.
