You may ask, why did you make a technical-ish backpack from leather? Because I found some in the shop, and I wanted to know what it would look like. Turns out, pretty cool. Especially the zipper garage on the front panel pocket. I've never really worked with leather before, but after making that one zipper garage (and I've made thousands over the years), I get it.

Please note, this bag is about 1/3 heavier than a 'normal' bag I make of this design - this leather is a bit heavier than the synthetics I normally use.

 

PLEASE NOTE there are a couple scratches on the surface - I know next to nothing about leather but I imagine they can be buffed out somehow?
